Roman’s investigators have greater proficiency identifying and collecting information and evidence, which can mitigate damages and lead to more favorable settlements.
As a national and international company, Roman handles insurance multi-line and specialty claims investigations. We also employ licensed casualty adjusters with a wide range of experience including aviation related claims.
Superior Technical and Legal Expertise
Roman's insurance claims, legal, and technical backgrounds adds to our ability to seek opportunities for subrogation and raise coverage questions. Our multiple technical backgrounds, including medical, forensic cyber and accounting, and aviation, provide us with a unique claims insight during investigations and medical or technical records review. We also have the ability to provide deep vetting of foreign national claimants.
Unparalleled Investigator Training
Roman's staff members undergo an intensive, internal training program performed by in-house counsel (a former litigator), and augmented by admitted attorney management. This demanding training enhances our team's familiarization with policy coverages, exclusions and endorsements. As a result, Roman’s investigators have greater proficiency identifying and collecting information and evidence, which can mitigate damages and lead to more favorable settlements.
Special Investigations Unit
Our Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is comprised of attorneys, former special agents, certified forensic public accountants and cyber engineers. It is also complimented by in-house counsel who provides regulatory guidance. As a result of our SIU Division’s unique composition, we have successful relationships with several top federal agencies, along with various jurisdictions' state fraud units, and local and federal prosecutors. Our SIU has helped to develop and file State anti-fraud plans, performed compliance fraud training, been a liaison to state and federal law enforcement agencies, and has consulted on many special programs and services.
