He has consulted with and trained insurance company and corporate fraud departments across the globe. He has testified as an expert witness in countless state and federal court cases. A nationally-licensed private investigator, Mr. Roman has conducted undercover surveillance, civil, criminal, and crime scene investigations.
The designer of Web-Trac®, an intelligent automated business enterprise management software system, Mr. Roman holds three US patents and has two patents pending, all of which include international patent rights. In addition, he is also the creator of an executive counter - kidnapping application and an enhanced GPS tracking program. His inventions have revolutionized the field of investigation operations.
Mr. Roman is an FAA licensed commercial pilot, former corporate pilot and a former adjunct flight instructor at the State University of New York - Aerospace Division, Professional Pilot Program.

Mark is the Vice President of Roman & Associates. He manages the company’s high profile. His 25 years of experience in the private investigation and insurance industry has made him a tremendous asset to Roman & Associates' operations.
In his tenure as a private investigator, he has conducted and supervised numerous investigations involving general liability, workers’ compensation, construction, insurance fraud, property, products liability, transportation and toxic torts. He has conducted and supervised surveillance and undercover operations, performed examinations under oath, conducted scene investigations, performed trial preparation to assist attorneys in defense of litigation, and performed all duties associated with criminal and civil investigations.
His awareness of the global community is vital component to the international growth of operations. Mark’s significant experience provides strategic guidance to all investigations nationwide, which help clients manage their investigatory demands and assist in strengthening their defense of the claim or in litigation.
Mark Levine received his undergraduate degree in International Relations from Lehigh University and his Juris Doctor from New York Law School. He is a current member of the New York State Bar, a former member of the New Jersey Bar and is a licensed private investigator and an insurance adjuster in multiple states.
Kamil Podlinski is the Vice President of Operations for Roman & Associates, and is responsible for coordinating the company’s national and global investigations. Kamil is a former Captain in the U.S. Army where as a member of the 1st Cavalry Division. He commanded over 100 personnel and was responsible for millions of dollars in equipment.
Kamil is an attorney whose expertise focuses on conducting and overseeing corporate, legal and insurance investigations. Kamil personally supervised the preparation of numerous fraud files, including the securing and collation of all relevant evidence, which were successfully accepted by the New York Inspector General’s office for prosecution.
Kamil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University. He has been a member of the New York Bar Association for 12 years. Kamil is fluent in Polish and French.
Adrienne Lasaponara has over 17 years of litigation and investigation experience. Prior to joining Roman & Associates, Adrienne litigated a wide range of civil matters, representing individuals and corporations in general liability, construction litigation, medical malpractice, personal injury, dram shop, premises liability, product liability, sports, recreation and leisure liability actions. She is skilled in arbitration, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and negotiating settlements.
Her diversified litigation background gives her keen insight on all investigations, from the initial claims stage through all subsequent stages of litigation.
As In-House Counsel, Adrienne manages our Legal and Human Resources Departments to ensure statutory and contractual compliance nationwide. Her vast experience and knowledge provides high quality and consistent support on all active investigations.
Mr Hammond has over 19 years experience in IT operations, including enterprise management, communications and software development. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Advance Mathematics from IONA College.
Michael also holds a current FCC license as an armature radio technician (KB2UKC). Mr. Hammond has received 4 patents which have been published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office covering various software automation techniques.
Michael’s key responsibilities at Roman are designing/developing Romans proprietary system Web-Trac®, IT budgeting, IT Department operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, project management, security, organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
Douglas J. Rose is a Senior Software Engineer at Roman. Mr. Rose holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from IONA College. During his undergraduate studies, he was the sole recipient of the IONA College Computer Science Baccalaureate Award for his excellent GPA, dedication and achievements in Computer Science.
He has over 11 years of experience managing global IT infrastructure and application development. Doug’s passion is designing & developing web, mobile and desktop applications.
Since his tenure at Roman he has developed a patented world class GPS tracking architecture. Douglas currently holds 3 U.S. patents which were awarded for his innovation and participation in the development of Roman’s cutting edge technology. His primary role is research and development of new technologies for Roman. He also maintains and upgrades Roman’s proprietary business management system, Web-Trac®.
Kelly has been in the investigation field for over 18 years. She has extensive experience in investigating and managing various types of insurance claims. Kelly has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and holds Private Investigator licenses in Florida, New York, and South Carolina.
Mr. Acquaviva served in the United States Marine Corps with the Security Forces Battalion. He subsequently worked as a Field Crew Chief for the New York City Marshal Scofflaw Program and also worked as a Patrol Security Officer for New York University Campus Protection Department. He has completed training with the New York City Police Department Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigation Program.
Mr. Acquaviva has since spent over 15 years as a field investigator, conducting surveillance and covert investigation operations. He is skilled in the use of various surveillance and undercover electronic devices. Since 2012, he has worked as a Surveillance Supervisor, overseeing surveillance training of incoming personnel.
Ms. Brock’s key responsibilities at Roman include management and supervision of investigators within the Trial Preparation Department. She is best known for locating “difficult to find” witnesses/defendants. She also works closely with clients to ensure their needs and strict legal deadlines are met.
Ms. Brock has 19 years of investigative experience. Ms. Brock’s professional background includes witness locates, process service, background investigations, surveillance, undercover operations, statements, site investigations, computer forensics and fraud. Ms. Brock has been certified in the following disciplines relating to computer forensics/investigations:

Mr. Chandrapong graduated Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Justice and a minor in Crime, Law and Justice. He has over 10 years of investigative experience. He has extensive training in surveillance, activity checks, stationary/moving surveillance techniques, and interviewing and locating witnesses. He also has worked at length on insurance claims investigations associated with disability and workers compensation. Mr. Chandrapong has a working knowledge of Thai.
Mr. Malkiewicz has 18 years Domestic and International investigation experience. He is a former Enforcement Officer with the U.S. Department of Justice and former Enforcement Agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He attended Suffolk Community College and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
He has conducted complex and technical investigations on the federal level, as he processed and utilized intelligence to apprehend, execute and serve warrants and arrest. He coordinated court proceedings with federal judges and consul generals around the world. He is trained extensively in surveillance, video and still camera use and has international experience in stationary and moving surveillance techniques.
Mr. Fuentes has over 10 years of investigation experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in International Marketing from Baruch College. Mr. Fuentes is trained in conducting construction site investigations, performing accident scene reconstruction, all facets of workers compensation investigations, complex inter-state trucking accidents, automobile collision and personal injury claims. He is also skilled at utilizing proficient interviewing techniques to obtain statements and perform background investigations.
As a former insurance claims examiner, Mr. Fuentes handled personal injury matters and property damage claims. In addition, he prepared litigation files for trial and represented insurance carriers, pro se, for arbitration cases. He is presently a Casualty Manager, overseeing multi-faceted, complex claims.
Mr. Petrie has over 9 years of investigation experience. He is skilled in surveillance, video and still camera use, undercover operations, background/social media checks and report writing. Mr. Petrie is also experienced in casualty, witness locates, process service, statements, and site investigations. Brock is a graduate of Oswego State University of New York, with a bachelor’s degree in Public Justice.
Mr. Carlson has over 8 years experience in the investigative field including database management and investigations, casualty and surveillance investigations and claims case management. His work has included pre-employment screening, workers' compensation and unemployment fraud as well as a variety of insurance claims matters. He holds a B.S. degree in criminal justice and sociology from Southern Connecticut State University.
Alec's key responsibilities at Roman are claims case management, optimizing procedures, client communications and producing quality finalized products for clients.
Gail R. Gross, CPA, joined Roman & Associates as Controller in 2011. She offers expertise in the accounting needs of the firm as well as forensic audits.
Before joining Roman & Associates, Gail served as President and Chief Operating Officer of IP Royalty Auditors llc, specializing in the review and recovery of royalties for intellectual property owners. Prior to that, she developed her diverse skill set with occupations ranging from staff accounting for one of the nation's largest publishing firms of its time to network administrator for a privately-held investment firm.
Gail holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Queens College. She is a member of The Authors Guild, TAA, National Women’s Book Association, and ABPA. Additionally, Gail has addressed regional and national conferences of Romance Writers of America, SFFWA, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Association of Author’s Representatives, and Mystery Writers of America on the subject of book royalties.
